Chung Ki-young

Chung Ki-young (* 23. November 1959 in South Korea ) is a former South Korean boxer in the featherweight .

Career

On June 3, 1979 he made his professional debut against Woo-Jung Kim in Seoul with a unanimous victory on points. In 1984 he became an OPBF master.

At the end of November 1985 he beat his compatriot Oh Min-keun with a technical knockout in round 15 and thus became world champion of the IBF association . He defended this title twice in a row and lost it to Antonio Rivera in late August 1986 . After this bankruptcy, he ended his career.
