The franchise was founded in 2006 and has played since the WK League was founded.
In the first WK League season 2009 they reached 4th place. In the following season they were only penultimate. In 2011 they were able to build on their previous performance and finished the season in 5th place. The following season was another bad season. In the end they reached the penultimate place. After the company Ilhwa Co. Ltd. Seongnam had announced Ilhwa Chunma to sell, they also announced. that they want to sell the women's team. However, since no buyer was found, the franchise was dissolved at the end of the season.
