Cibes Lift is a Swedish manufacturer of space-saving low-speed lifts for private and public buildings with spindle drive. The headquarters of the company, which produces platform, cabin and stair lifts, is located in Gävle . Per Lidström has been the CEO since June 2019. In September 2019, David Harrison was appointed Group Marketing Director.

history

Cibes Lift was founded in 1947 by the Swedish engineer Bertil Svedberg as a manufacturing company for freight elevators . The first passenger lifts were introduced in the mid-1960s and the first series of platform lifts were developed in a factory in the village of Järbo in the early 2000s .

In 2012, Cibes Lift became the Cibes Lift Group and relocated its headquarters and production facilities to Gävle , 200 kilometers north of Stockholm . Since then the company has expanded and now sells lifts in 50 countries worldwide. The group now employs around 560 people, and sales offices and subsidiaries have been established in recent years . The company has a sales network in 50 countries and offices in 15 countries. In 2018, sales were over SEK 1 billion. The company was also one of the first 24 European companies to set up the European Platform and Stairlift Association (EPSA).

Cibes Lift Deutschland GmbH was founded in autumn 2018. The product lines of the German company can be divided into platform lifts and cabin lifts, which in turn cover the home lifts, residential building lifts and freight lifts.
