Cinedoc

The Cinedoc is a company for long-term storage and digitization of magnetic tape , 16 mm film , 35 mm film , and 8-mm film .

history

The producer and director Heinz Dieter Clausen founded the Cinedoc OHG in 1975 and the Cinedoc GmbH in Graz in 1993 with further operations in Vienna. His daughter Anke Iwa Clausen has been working in the company since 1999. Originally the company produced documentaries , cinema and feature films . Since 2000, the Cinedoc has been dealing with the problem of the aging process and the decomposition of films , cord material and video material. In cooperation with institutes, Cinedoc developed a physico-chemical process to rescue brittle or deformed film material.
