Circa Waves is a British indie rock band from Liverpool .

Band history

The singer and guitarist Kieran Shudall had previously played in various bands and decided in 2013 to start a permanent project. With a few prepared songs, he started looking for more members and finally joined forces with Joe Falconer, Sam Rourke and Sian Plummer to form Circa Waves , whom he had met at the Sound City Festival in Liverpool. They gained so much attention through performances in Great Britain and Europe that the label Transgressive Records noticed them and signed them. In the first year they released their debut single with the two songs Get Away and Good for Me .

The following year they released several singles and an EP and prepared to release their debut album. They also had numerous appearances, including at the renowned Reading and Leeds Festivals and the Glastonbury Festival , but also at German festivals such as the Southside and the Hurricane Festival . They were also the opening act for the Libertines ; his own tour of Great Britain followed in the second half of the year. The album Young Chasers , named after one of the band's first songs, was released in early April 2015 and immediately made it into the top ten of the UK charts .
