City Skyliner
The City Skyliner with a total height of 81 meters, the highest at the time mobile observation tower in the world. The Top of the World is higher with a total height of 95 meters, but it was set up in the Freizeit-Land Geiselwind a few years ago .
The City Skyliner is a so-called gyro-tower , i. H. the passenger cabin rotates around the tower as it moves up and down. The maximum driving height of the cabin is 72 m with a capacity of 60 people. The City Skyliner was built in 2013.
It is driven by two motors: a lift motor with an output of 110 kW and a motor for the cabin rotation with an output of 60 kW.
The City Skyliner is equipped with a bar in the waiting area and an LED video wall at the top of the tower for advertising purposes. In addition, the cabin is equipped with air conditioning and loudspeakers that provide information about the respective installation location while driving.
During the Advent season , the City Skyliner, which is illuminated red in the dark, is also marketed as the “tallest candle in the world”.
