The Civilian Service Medal (Afghanistan) is a civilian award of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth , which was donated on June 6, 2011 in one step. The award is for the service of civilians and other people who were involved in the transition to democracy in Afghanistan . Either to persons in service with or in support of the British Embassy in Kabul or the local organizational organizations or persons who are serving in the multinational armed forces in Afghanistan for a period of at least 30 days of continuous service or 45 days of service within a year ; and persons not intended for the Military Operational Service Medal (Afghanistan) or any other Campaign Service Medal .

Appearance and wearing style

The round copper-nickel medal with a diameter of 36.07 mm shows on its obverse the bust of Queen Elizabeth II looking to the left with a crown and the inscription ELISABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA FD In the lapel in the center an Afghan mountain landscape with a pass road, above it, in English, below in Arabic, the word Afghanistan .

The award is worn on the upper left side of the chest of the recipient on a white ribbon with a wide red vertical center bar and two narrow red stripes on the left and right.
