Cláudia Ohana
Cláudia Ohana (* 6. February 1963 as Maria Cláudia Silva Carneiro in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian actress , at a young age subscribed to roles racy beauty and sensual southern temptresses.
Life
Cláudia Ohana came into contact with film at an early stage through her equally artistically active parents - her mother worked as a writer, her father as a painter. There she was preferred from the beginning as a passionate, lolita-like beauty with an exotic-erotic charisma. Her title character in The Unbelievable and Sad Story of the Innocent Eréndira and Her Heartless Grandmother , based on a novel by Gabriel García Márquez , also corresponded to this type of role . Ohanas Eréndira is a good-hearted but somewhat stupid innocence who, in order to improve her life and that of her shamefully abusing grandmother, lets herself be forced into prostitution by her. The film, a Mexican-German-Portuguese co-production from the hand of the Brazilian director Ruy Guerra , was to make Cláudia Ohana suddenly known in 1983 (at the Cannes Film Festival ).
Since then, the attractive artist has also appeared in international film productions and, as in Erendira , did not shy away from nude shots (e.g. in the contemplative-poetic melodrama The Beauty with the Doves, largely reduced to two people ). In 1985, together with her French colleague Bernard Giraudeau , she shot the film Dangerous Frontier , set in Bolivia , in the wild, rugged, picturesque canyon landscape of Quebrada de Humahuaca ( Northern Argentina ) , a mixture of adventure and action flicks, political and military thrillers. However, the Carioca was not able to follow up on the success of Erendira with any of these films, which were only partially shown outside of Brazil .
Since the beginning of the 1990s, Cláudia Ohana has concentrated almost entirely on her work on television, where she made her debut in 1981 (in an episode of the series Obrigado, Doutor ). There she was seen in a number of one-off productions and a large number of telenovelas popular in Brazil .
Despite her intensive screen and television presence, Cláudia Ohana has also found time to work in the theater. Since her debut on The Rocky Horror Show , for example, she has toured with the opera Malandro , which was also filmed with her in 1985. She was the ideal cast for the role of Carmen in the Bizet template of the same name .
The 1.60-meter-long actress undressed twice for Playboy (1985 and 2008) . From 1981 to 1984 she was married to Guerra, with whom she has their daughter Dandara Guerra, who was born in Rio in 1983 and is also acting. Cláudia Ohana has been a grandmother since May 2005.
