Claire lemurs are medium-sized representatives of their genus, they reach a head body length of 12 to 14 centimeters, plus a tail that is 15 to 17 centimeters long. The weight varies between 50 and 70 grams. Their fur is reddish-brown on the top and yellowish-white on the belly.
