Clara Auteri Pepe

Clara Auteri Pepe (born May 19, 1918 in Caltagirone , Sicily , † June 16, 2018 in Milan ) was an Italian actress .

Life

Auteri started out at the theater in small roles and met her colleague Nico Pepe in 1937 , whom she married soon after and whose name she also bore. The thin, small, black-haired actress with big eyes and a cheeky demeanor was also active on revue stages, played on the radio and as a voice actress, but was best known for her character portrayals in films from the time of the Second World War , which she embodied effectively and she did not brought in all too frequent but steady offers until the late 1950s. The successes of the 1940s persisted, also in the revue theater, where she played alongside Totò and Anna Magnani in Che ti sei messo in testa? shone and a few months later - Rome was a liberated city - played again with Totò in Michele Galdieri's Con un palmo di naso , but unmatched.
