Claude Bristol
Claude M. Bristol (* 1891 ; † 1951 ) was an American journalist and author of non-fiction books.
Life
Bristol worked as a journalist for the American soldiers' newspaper The Stars and Stripes during the First World War . He later took positions as a police reporter and rapporteur for religious and church issues.
In 1948, Bristol achieved great success in the USA with the book The Magic of Believing , with which he wanted to give the US soldiers who had returned from World War II courage and inspiration for reintegration. The book became a classic of the advisory literature. Norman Vincent Peale said the book would be "one of the most engaging and motivating books ever written in the United States."
