Publishing house Peter Erd

The publishing house Peter Erd was a Munich- based book publisher in the legal form of a GmbH. He has published non-fiction and fiction since 1984. On November 15, 2000, the Munich District Court appointed a preliminary insolvency administrator. The publishing house was continued from May 3, 2001 by the insolvency administrator Martin Manstein. In 2004, Dr. Karl-Hans Schleicher the company and remaining rights. In 2009 the publisher ceased operations and was deleted from the commercial register.

History and program

The company founded by the publisher Peter Erd initially worked under the name Verlag Das Sonder in Berg am Starnberger See , before it was renamed to Verlag Peter Erd and a branch in Munich. Originally the publisher was focused on authors from the Neugeist movement and their environment.

Over the years, the program has been expanded to include subjects ranging from nutrition to ethnomedicine to the memoirs of Roy Black's wife .

Peter Erd repeatedly launched titles on the German market that later achieved success with other publishers, such as The Alchimist by Paulo Coelho , which later appeared in Diogenes Verlag , and Mastering Life with Buddha by Volker Zotz , which was taken over by Rowohlt Verlag .
