Claude Leron

Claude Leron , actually Claude Daniel Lerognon (* 1944 ), is a former French catcher or wrestler . He spent his childhood in Ribeauvillé . In 1977 he became European heavyweight champion.

Leron discovered catching after dropping out of law school through judo . From 1964 on, Leron was trained by Luc Straub , the European light heavyweight champion. An athlete of 95 kg at the beginning of his career, he reached 115 kg during his career. In 1973 he took second place in the World Cup held in Hamburg by the Association of German Professional Wrestlers . In 1977, also in Hamburg, Claude Leron achieved his greatest success by winning the European Catch heavyweight title. The German director Jürgen Roland presented him with the wreath .

Under the pseudonym Leronix , Leron formed a team with Patonix and went on tour with him in America from 1974 to 1975. He also temporarily formed a team with the 122 kg Gil Voiney , a well-known international fighter, and traveled with him repeatedly around the world.
