Claudia Laschan

Claudia Laschan (born December 22, 1964 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ), a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council .

Claudia Laschan was born the daughter of a railroad worker and an office worker. She attended elementary school and high school at a Catholic girls' school in Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus . There she was head girl of the [Aktion Kritischer Schüler] and made contacts with the socialist youth . She campaigned for the abolition of private schools and grades.

After completing school, Laschan studied medicine and financed his studies by working for meals on wheels , doing laundry care, as a demonstrator at the Institute for Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Vienna, or by working on a development aid project. Laschan was an emergency paramedic at the Red Cross Hainburg and completed her cycle at the local hospital. In 1997 she moved to the Hanusch Hospital in the hematological-oncological department.

politics

Claudia Laschan got involved with SPÖ-related organizations during her school days and with the Socialist Youth in Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus after graduating from high school. She represented her district organization in the Socialist Youth Austria and was deputy chairwoman of the SJÖ. In 1984 she joined the SPÖ and was involved with the district SPÖ women. From 1994 to 2001 she represented her party in the district council of the district. Claudia Laschan has been a member of the state parliament and a member of the local council since 2001 and became district chairman of the SPÖ in Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus in 2006.
