Claudius Hollyband

Claudius Hollyband (* 1534 in Moulins ; † November 1594 in London ) was a British Romance studies , foreign language didactic and lexicographer of French origin.

life and work

Claude de Sainliens came to London in 1564 as a Huguenot religious refugee and published under the name Claudius Holyband (or Hollyband or Holliband) foreign language didactic works relating to French and Italian.
