Claus Schaffer

Claus Schaffer (* 1969 ) is a German chief detective in the Schleswig-Holstein state police and politician of the Alternative for Germany (AfD). He has been a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament since the 2017 state election .

Claus Schaffer joined the AfD, Schleswig-Holstein State Association , in April 2013 . Between April 2016 and July 2017 he was one of three deputy chairmen in the state executive committee. From July 2016 to July 2018 he was the spokesman for the Lübeck City Association, and since then he has been a member of the AfD Lübeck district board. In the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2017, he was in second place on the list and moved into the state parliament as a member. He is the deputy chairman and domestic and social policy spokesman for his group . Schaffer is committed to equipping the Schleswig-Holstein police with tasers ( distance electro-pulse devices ) because these would offer the possibility of avoiding the mostly fatal shot.
