The AfD Schleswig-Holstein is the regional association of the Alternative for Germany party in Schleswig-Holstein . The regional association was chaired by Doris von Sayn-Wittgenstein , who was legally excluded from the party on August 28, 2019. With Jörg Nobis as the top candidate, the state party ran for the first time in the state elections in 2017 and entered the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein with a parliamentary group . For the 2017 federal election , the AfD ran with the top candidate Bruno Hollnagel.

history

The regional association was founded on April 27, 2013. At the founding party convention in Bruges , Jannis Andrae and Ulrike Trebesius were elected to the dual leadership of the state executive. At the beginning of 2015, the co-spokesman Andrae resigned from his office due to work overload and did not run again as spokesman at the party congress on March 21. As a result, Trebesius was elected sole chairman.

As part of the split of the Alliance for Progress and Awakening from the AfD, there were also party resignations and resignations in the AfD Schleswig-Holstein, including chairman Ulrike Trebesius and general secretary Jürgen Joost, other members of the state board and some district chairmen. The majority of the members of the Schleswig-Holstein state board supported the wing around Bernd Lucke and signed the founding declaration of the 2015 Weckruf association .

A new state executive was elected at an extraordinary state party conference on August 9, 2015 in Bad Bramstedt . Thomas Thomsen and Markus Scheb were elected as chairmen. After disputes within the board of directors over the leadership of the state party, Scheb resigned and new elections were scheduled for a state party conference on April 16, 2016. After allegations against him, Thomsen left this party congress prematurely, so that Bruno Hollnagel and Jörg Nobis were elected as the new heads of the board in the new elections.

At the beginning of May 2017, the AfD regional arbitration court ruled that the election of the regional executive committee in April 2016 was illegal due to the incorrect calling of the state party conference and that it had to be repeated. The state board then appealed to the federal arbitration court. As a result of the withdrawal of the treasurer Bernhard Noack and his deputy and the subsequent resignation of three board members, u. a. of state chairman Bruno Hollnagel, the number of board members was reduced from 13 to 6, so that, according to the statutes, the state board had to be re-elected or completed again immediately. At a state party conference held on July 8th and 9th, a completely new board was elected - following an amendment to the statutes, which in future only provides for nine board members.

The AfD federal executive decided on December 17, 2018 to start a party expulsion process against the then state chairwoman Doris von Sayn-Wittgenstein . One reason for this is the Sayn-Wittgenstein 2014 as a right-wing current club Gedächtnisstätte e. V. had applied and should be a member. She is said to have confirmed the latter in parliamentary groups - but denies this. In addition, Sayn-Wittgenstein was forbidden to continue exercising party offices “against the background of allegedly criminally relevant processes” until the proceedings before the arbitral tribunal had been concluded. As a result, the two previous deputy chairmen Bruno Hollnagel and Matthias Niemeyer took over the management of the regional association. On June 29, 2019, Doris von Sayn-Wittgenstein was re-elected as state chairman. Since she was expelled from the party on August 28, 2019, the office of state chairman has been vacant.
