The AFD Rhineland-Palatinate is the national association of the party Alternative for Germany (AFD) in Rhineland-Palatinate . The regional association is led by Michael Frisch as regional chairman. With Junge as the top candidate, the state party ran for the first time in the state elections in 2016 and then entered the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate . For the  2017 federal election  , the AfD ran in Rhineland-Palatinate with Sebastian Munzenmaier as the top candidate.

history

The AfD Rhineland-Palatinate was founded in 2013. In the 2013 federal elections , the AfD in Rhineland-Palatinate received 4.8 percent, a result that was slightly above the national average , and the 2014 European elections of 6.8 percent. In the 2014 local elections , the AfD achieved a nationwide result of 3.0 percent based on the districts and urban districts. In the state elections in 2016 , according to the official final result, the AfD moved into the state parliament with 12.6% or 14 applicants selected via the state list.

Before the 2017 federal election, a member of the regional association challenged the regional association's list of candidates. The AfD member Bruno Panzner saw an unfair and against the federal electoral law violating procedures in the candidate election and lodged a complaint with the state returning officer . The list was nevertheless approved by the state electoral committee .

Party platform

In its election program for the 2016 state elections, the Rhineland-Palatinate AfD calls for direct democratic elements to be strengthened and is committed to a family image consisting of father, mother and children. In educational policy , the party stands for a structured school system and a dual system of school and vocational training. The energy transition had failed and should be replaced by a policy "based on scientific knowledge and market economy principles". The AfD in Rhineland-Palatinate combines a commitment to a social market economy and free trade with its rejection of the Transatlantic Free Trade Agreement (TTIP). In the refugee crisis in Germany , the AfD Rhineland-Palatinate calls for national upper limits. In the Greek national debt crisis , the AfD Rhineland-Palatinate is calling for an end to financial support from German tax money.

The highest party organ is the  state party congress . He elects the  state board , the  auditors  and the state arbitration tribunal. This decides on internal party disputes and can expel members.

The state executive committee consists of a chairman, a first deputy chairman, a second deputy chairman, a third deputy chairman, a treasurer and a secretary, each with one representative and a total of six assessors. Since November 2019, the state executive has consisted of the following members:

Young alternative Rhineland-Palatinate

The  Young Alternative Rhineland-Palatinate is the nationwide  youth association of  the AfD Rhineland-Palatinate.

Regional group RLP / Saarland in the German Bundestag

The state list for the 2017 federal election was published at a two-day party congress on May 4th / 5th. March 2017 in Bingen am Rhein . The state party entered the 19th German Bundestag with a total of four candidates , and together with the drafted candidate from the AfD Saar, they formed a joint " regional group RLP / Saarland".
