Jan Bollinger (born March 21, 1977 in Koblenz ) is a German politician ( AfD ).

Origin, education and professional career

Bollinger grew up as one of two children in Neuwied . He attended the Rhein-Wied-Gymnasium and graduated from high school in 1996. After doing alternative service , he studied economics and business administration in Greifswald, Bonn and Koblenz from 1998 to 2005 . He completed his studies with a degree in business administration (FH). He then worked for a year as a management consultant before enrolling as an external doctoral student in social and economic sciences at the University of Kassel . In 2011 Bollinger received his doctorate with the dissertation "Transformational leadership as a success factor in interim management - How executives can motivate and develop their employees, overcome corporate crises and implement organizational changes". At the same time he worked as a research assistant at the European Academy in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler until 2010 . After receiving his doctorate , he worked as an administrative manager in youth welfare from 2012 to 2016.

Political career

Bollinger joined the AfD in 2013 and was elected district chairman of the AfD in Neuwied in October of the same year. In the municipal elections in Rhineland-Palatinate in 2014 , he moved into the Neuwied district council, to which he belonged until 2019. He was also elected to the Neuwied City Council, from which he resigned in 2016.

At the state party conference in Bingen to draw up the state list for the start of the state election in Rhineland-Palatinate in 2016 , he was elected to position 3 on the list. On March 18, 2016, he succeeded in entering the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament as a member of the state parliament . There he is the parliamentary manager and economic policy spokesman for his group . Bollinger is also deputy chairman of the Committee on Economics and Transport.
