Jürgen Klein (politician)

Jürgen Klein (born April 25, 1973 in Bad Sobernheim ) is a German politician of the Alternative for Germany (AfD). Since 2013 he has been chairman of the AfD district association in Bad Kreuznach. In the state elections in Rhineland-Palatinate in 2016 on March 13, 2016, he succeeded in entering the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate as a member of the state parliament .

Life

From 1990 to 1993, Klein completed an apprenticeship as a utility and disposal company and then did his basic military service. From 1994 he worked for the Bad Kreuznach city ​​administration and was trained as a wastewater master from 1995 to 1997 . After twelve years with the city of Bad Kreuznach, Klein worked as a sales representative for the companies Reiflock Abwassertechnik and WTW from 2006 until he moved into the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate .

Jürgen Klein is married, has one daughter and lives in Waldböckelheim.

Political career and positions

Before joining the AfD, Klein was a member of the CDU for over 22 years . In 1990 Klein joined the Christian Democrats and was on the local council of his home village Waldböckelheim . As reasons for switching to the AfD, Klein explained in an interview with Spiegel that the CDU “no longer stood for conservative values.” Klein sees his political priorities in environmental policy , internal security and infrastructure.

In the municipal elections in Rhineland-Palatinate in 2014 , he was elected to the district council in the Bad Kreuznach district.

In 2015 he was re-elected to the AfD district executive in the Bad Kreuznach district.

His political leitmotif is based on a quote from Frederick the Great : “The state must be economical because the money it receives comes from the blood and sweat of its people. It is fair that each and every one of us should contribute to help meet government spending. But it is not fair that he should share half of his annual income with the state. "

Klein calls for Kirchhof's tax model : “The existing tax law indirectly promotes tax evasion .
