Specialist for sewage technology
The specialist for sewage technology is a state-recognized training occupation in Germany according to the Vocational Training Act .
This training occupation belongs to the group of environmental protection professions, which also includes the environmental training professions specialist for recycling and waste management , specialist for pipe, sewer and industrial service and specialist for water supply technology .
Duration of training
The training period to become a specialist in wastewater technology is usually three years. The training takes place at the training company and vocational school .

Specialists in wastewater technology work in industrial and municipal wastewater treatment plants . They work there in the area of drainage networks as well as wastewater and sewage sludge treatment .
