The Pirate Party Schleswig-Holstein is the state association of the Pirate Party Germany in Schleswig-Holstein . The state chairman is Joachim Rotermund.

history

The regional association was founded on December 16, 2007 on Fehmarn . In the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2009 , he failed with 1.8 percent of the five percent hurdle . With the early election in May 2012 , the party was able to enter the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament with 8.2 percent .

In 2012 there were disputes in the state parliament between the pirate faction and the other parties represented in parliament after the pirates refused to adhere to an oral agreement on the confidentiality of the council of elders for reasons of transparency. All parties with the exception of the pirates then submitted a motion to tighten the guidelines in secretly meeting bodies. In addition, the use of laptops, telephoning, photography, filming and making sound recordings should be prohibited in the state parliament. MEPs from the pirate faction demonstrated against the plan by using typewriters in the following session . In addition, the group announced a constitutional lawsuit. Ultimately, the pirates managed to get the Council of Elders to publish the minutes of its meetings since the end of 2012 and to keep laptops allowed.
