Local politics

In the local elections in 2008 , the NPD ran for the district council in Lauenburg, North Friesland and Ostholstein and for the council in Kiel. In Kiel , Hermann Gutsche entered the town hall with 1.7% of the vote. In the Duchy of Lauenburg , Kay Oelke had 2.1% of the votes and thus a seat in the district council. In the Nordfriesland and Ostholstein districts , however, the NPD did not get enough votes for a seat in the district council.

In the local elections in 2013 , the NPD members Hermann Gutsche and Kay Oelke ran on camouflage lists, the "Wahlalternative Kieler Bürger" in Kiel and the "Rule of Law League" in the Duchy of Lauenburg. According to the deputy NPD state chairman Jörn Lemke, these lists represent NPD interests and content. "It is an alliance of the party and free forces," quoted Blick nach Rechts on.

The NPD took part in 2013 under its party name in the independent city of Neumünster and in the Pinneberg district . In addition, NPD members ran for the city council in Uetersen , where the state chairman Ingo Stawitz lives.
