The Saarland Pirate Party is the state association of the Pirate Party in Saarland . From 2012 to 2017 she was represented by a parliamentary group in the Saarland state parliament.

Program

The Saarland Pirate Party largely supports all points of the Federal Party ( Pirate Party ). At the local level, they are committed to the following:

UBI

The Saarland Pirate Party is committed to an unconditional basic income (UBI). According to the party, the UBI enables a life without existential fears. It is also intended to reduce bureaucracy.

education

The Saarland Pirate Party calls for a return to the G9. The reason given is that a good education needs time for independent leisure time outside of school.

They also call for free crèches and kindergartens, as otherwise disadvantages for poor families could arise.

The Saarland Pirate Party demands that every Bachelor graduate be entitled to a Master’s degree.

In their opinion, access to the course content should be free. They want the use of online platforms so that they can work on teaching content better from home.

Pirates in the Saarland state parliament

In the state elections in Saarland in 2012 , the party reached 7.4 percent and entered the Saarland state parliament with four members . After Michael Neyses moved to the Greens parliamentary group on January 26, 2015, the parliamentary group consisted of three members until leaving the state parliament.

In the state elections in Saarland in 2017 , the party achieved 0.7 percent and was behind the family party (0.8 percent) and ahead of the NPD (0.7 percent).
