Organization and structure

Spatial structures

The state association Saarland is a division of the federal party Die Linke and is in turn divided into the six district associations Saarbrücken, Saarlouis, Merzig-Wadern, Sankt Wendel, Neunkirchen and Saarpfalz, whose area corresponds to that of the 5 Saarland districts or the Saarbrücken regional association.

In addition, there are so-called local associations, which, however, are not partitions of the party in the actual sense, but voluntary associations within the district associations.

Content structures

Most of the content-related work is done by the (currently 23) state working groups. These each deal with a defined topic. You maintain a more or less intensive connection with the relevant federal working group.

The regional associations of the thematic currents Socialist Left (SL) , Communist Platform (KPF) and Forum Democratic Socialism (fds) are also organized as regional working groups .

Organizational structures

Organs of the regional association are:

  • the state party congress as the highest body that, for example, decides on the party program and statutes and elects the state board. It meets at least once a year.
  • the state committee as the highest body between two party congresses, which decides on the annual financial plan and controls the state board. It meets at least twice a year.
  • the state executive, which conducts day-to-day business, represents the party externally and prepares daily political statements
  • the state finance council, which is composed of the state and treasure masters

In addition, there is the regional arbitration commission as an intra-party arbitration tribunal.

Premises
