Ernst Jochen Flackus (born February 2, 1955 in Ingelheim ) is a German politician ( Die Linke , previously SPD ) and a member of the Saarland state parliament .

Life and work

Jochen Flackus studied political science and economics at the University of Bonn after completing the secondary school leaving certificate. In 1988, Flackus became personal advisor, office manager, government spokesman and head of planning to Saarland Prime Minister Oskar Lafontaine . He then headed the technology department in the Saarland Ministry of Economics. In 2005 he switched to the Leibniz Institute for New Materials as commercial director and returned to his ministry position in 2010. Since 2012 he has been the commercial director at the Center for Mechatronics and Automation Technology in Saarbrücken.

Flackus was a member of the SPD from 1974 to 2008. He joined the party Die Linke in 2009. In the state elections in Saarland in 2017 , he received a mandate for his party in the state parliament of Saarland . There he is the parliamentary manager of his group.

He is a member of the following committees:

  • Committee for questions of the protection of the constitution
  • Subcommittee on Construction (Deputy Chairman)
