Michael Hilberer

Michael Hilberer (born April 23, 1979 in Kenzingen ) is a German politician . He was active in the pirate party and from 2012 to 2017 chairman of the pirate faction in the Saarland state parliament , and from 2013 to 2014 state party chairman.

Career

Hilberer completed his Master of Science degree in computer science at the Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences in Zweibrücken in 2009 and works as a software developer for Baden-Badener Versicherung AG, softgarden GmbH and, since 2010, at SAP AG as a mobile solution developer. Before that, he already obtained a degree in computer science and completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk.

Political work

In September 2011 he joined the Pirate Party, where he had been an assessor in the Saarland state board since October 30, 2011 . As a teenager, he said he was a member of the Junge Union . In the state elections in Saarland in 2012 , he was elected to the state parliament. In the state parliament he was a member of the committees for home affairs and sport , justice, constitutional and legal issues as well as election examinations as well as Europe and issues of the interregional parliamentary council . On November 24, 2013, he was elected regional party chairman at a party conference in Blieskastel . On March 27, 2017, he announced his resignation from the Pirate Party.

Private life

Michael Hilberer is married and has four children. He lives in St. Wendel .
