Stan Regal , also Stanislav Regal , (* 1948 in Czechoslovakia ) is a German musician and music producer of Czech descent.
Stan Regal grew up in Czechoslovakia and played guitar and keyboard in the Czech rock band Atlantis (21) from 1966 to 1973. The group made regular guest appearances in West Berlin as background musicians for the performance of the musical Hair . After the band broke up in 1973, Regal worked as a producer and sound engineer in his own Berlin audio studio for the Krautrock bands Made in Germany and Agitation Free , the Saragossa Band and Georg Danzer, among others . He produced the single Ramaya for Afric Simone , a number one hit in Italy in 1976. Regal was co-producer of Die Ärzte on their debut album Debil . From 1973 to 1986 he produced four albums for the ensemble of the Berlin Grips Theater .
Since 1998, Stan Regal and his partner have been running the Prague Café Slavia in Berlin-Friedenau alongside his work in the music industry .
