Jörg Nobis (born September 9, 1975 in Recklinghausen ) is a German ship operator , navigator and politician ( AfD ). From March 2016 to July 2017 he was one of two state chairmen of the AfD Schleswig-Holstein . In the state elections in 2017 , he entered the state parliament as his party's top candidate and has been chairman of his parliamentary group ever since.

Life

Jörg Nobis graduated from the Leibniz Gymnasium in Gelsenkirchen-Buer in 1995 and then completed vocational training as a ship mechanic . From 1997 to 1999 he studied ship operation in Hamburg up to the intermediate diploma . He then attended the ship engineering and nautical / maritime transport courses at the University of Wismar , both of which he completed in 2002 with the academic degree of Diplom-Ingenieur (FH) . From 2002 to 2007 he worked as a nautical officer, during which time he also acquired his master's license .

He then worked as a nautical fleet manager for a Hamburg shipping company . He has been working as a nautical and technical expert since 2008 and as a managing partner since 2011.

Jörg Nobis has been married since summer 2007 and has two sons. He lives with his family in Kaltenkirchen in the Segeberg district .

Party politics

Nobis joined the alternative for Germany in March 2013. In September 2013 he ran for the alternative for Germany in the 2013 federal election as a direct candidate for the constituency of Segeberg Stormarn-Mitte . On April 16, 2016 he was elected chairman of the AfD Schleswig-Holstein together with Bruno Hollnagel as an equal double head . In October 2016 he was elected as the top candidate for the state election at the state party conference in Henstedt-Ulzburg . He moved to the state parliament via the state list and was elected by the parliamentary group as chairman of the parliamentary group . At the state party conference on July 8, 2017, he lost the election as state spokesman for the AfD Schleswig-Holstein against Doris von Sayn-Wittgenstein and has not been represented on the state executive since then.
