Political positions

A Senate response to a request from AfD parliamentary group leader Alexander Wolf showed that almost every fourth class trip in the 2018/2019 school year was made by plane. Wolf criticized this behavior with It makes little sense to take to the streets for the climate and make demands to save the world, but not to moderate yourself, not to lead by example. The 'class flights' of the 'climate schools', which obviously do not deserve this name, are particularly absurd.

criticism

Shortly before the state party conference of the Hamburg AfD at the end of November 2017, the media reported on a collection of songs entitled “Der Schlachtruf”, which Alexander Wolf published in 1994. The songbook shows a black eagle on a red background. It contains, among many other songs, the song of the Reich Youth Leader of the National Socialists, Baldur von Schirach : “Our flag flutters us ahead” - the song of the Hitler Youth . In the lyrics, the words Hitler and Führer were replaced by Germany . Wolf pointed out that it also contained hiking songs and songs by Hans Albers and Zarah Leander and none of the songs listed were forbidden. Today, however, "he would no longer be available for the publication of this song collection".

Volunteering

In 1998, Wolf took over the chairmanship of the old gentlemen's association of the Danubia fraternity for one term and was head of the Oxford University Society's alumni association in Hamburg until the end of 2015.
