The Pauluskolleg Paderborn is a college for students of religious education at the Catholic University of North Rhine-Westphalia in Paderborn . It was founded in 1971 and is a training facility for community officers of the Archdiocese of Paderborn and eleven other dioceses in northern and western Germany that complements academic studies .

Since the college was founded, it has been housed in different buildings. The current building was occupied in 2001. It has 54 single rooms as well as several communal and seminar rooms and a house chapel. The rooms are divided into several corridors, each with a shared kitchen.

The chapel windows were designed by the Esloh artist Thomas Jessen .

Program of the house

In the Pauluskolleg, according to the regulations of the German Bishops' Conference, the part of the training to become a parish officer for the (arch) dioceses of Aachen , Berlin , Erfurt , Essen , Fulda , Hamburg , Hildesheim , Cologne , Magdeburg , Münster , Osnabrück and the Archdiocese of Paderborn takes place to serve spiritual and human advancement and accompaniment of the students. In the first two semesters, living in the Pauluskolleg is a compulsory part of the training. There are regular church services and advanced training courses that are important for later work, including lecturer courses , cantor courses , rhetoric courses and voice training.

The house management consists of the director Benedetta Michelini, assistant Anna Mühlberger and spiritual father Cornelius Wanner OSB .
