Diploma pre-examination
With the award of a certificate confirmed existence of the preliminary diploma examination (colloquially undergraduate ) who has a student a diploma program , the foundations of his field of study to learn and so the basic study ended. The preliminary diploma (also intermediate examination ) is not a degree under university law, and no academic degree is awarded when it is passed. As a rule, the preliminary diploma examination is not a single block examination, but consists of course-related examinations that are taken over the course of the semester . The examination offices of the universities are responsible for the administration of the intermediate diploma (registration and deregistration for examinations, recording of examination results, issuing of intermediate diploma certificates, etc.). The regulations for obtaining the intermediate diploma are set out in the diploma examination regulations (DPO) for the relevant degree program.
The intermediate diploma is usually completed after the fourth semester.
