Clay Mathematics Institute

The Clay Mathematics Institute (CMI) for the advancement of mathematics is based in Peterborough, New Hampshire , USA. It was founded in September 1999 by the founding couple Clay, the Boston businessman Landon T. Clay and his wife Lavinia D. Clay . The foundation includes the prize money for solving the so-called Millennium Problems in the field of mathematics. The institute also publishes a number of mathematical monographs, the Clay Mathematics Monographs .

Clay Research Award

The foundation annually awards the Clay Research Award for outstanding research achievements in the field of mathematics.
