Clemens Kühn
Clemens Kühn (* 1945 in Hamburg ) is a German music theorist .
Life
Clemens Kühn studied school music, German literature and music theory and composition with Diether de la Motte in Hamburg and Berlin . In 1977 he received his doctorate in musicology as a student of Carl Dahlhaus . After teaching at the UdK Berlin and the University of Music and Theater Munich , he was appointed to the chair for music theory at the University of Music Dresden in 1997 .
Clemens Kühn was a collaborator and editor of various periodicals, including co-editor and editor of the Musica magazine from 1978 to 1996 .
The music theorist and dean of studies from Würzburg Almut Gatz (* 1981) is one of his students .
