history
The bank was founded in 1889 as "Spar- und Leihkasse Kappel". In 1964, when the municipalities of Ebnat and Kappel merged, the institute was renamed “Spar- und Leihkasse Ebnat-Kappel”. At the beginning of 2001, the bank was merged with the “Ersparnisanstalt Unterwasser” and the name was changed to “Bank Thur”. In March 2008, the Clientis umbrella brand was included in the name and the institute was renamed “Clientis Bank Thur Genossenschaft”.
