Clifford the Big Red Dog (Original title: Clifford the Big Red Dog) is an American cartoon series that was produced between 2000 and 2003 . It is the predecessor of the cartoon series Clifford, the little red dog from the years 2003 to 2006 , which reports on the time when Clifford was still tiny. The plot is based on the stories of the American author Norman Bridwell, who has already published over 40 books on Clifford.
