Janis Morweiser (born February 16, 1991 ) is a former German Nordic combined athlete .

Career

Janis Morweiser started for the SC 1906 Oberstdorf . It started for the first time as part of two FIS competitions in October 2007 in Oberstdorf . After further starts he made his debut on September 13 and 14, 2008 in Kranj in the Alpencup , where he finished 32nd and eighth, and on January 3, 2009 in Eisenerz in the Continental Cup , where he was only 63rd. On December 19, 2009, he won his first competition with an Alpine Cup competition in Seefeld . Overall, he was able to win three individual competitions of the Continental Cup in his career, on March 11, 2012 in Kuopio and on March 19 and 20, 2013 in Klingenthal .

On January 16, 2010 Morweiser made his debut in the Nordic Combined World Cup and reached 49th place there. In the following four years, other competitions followed regularly; his best result was a fourth place in Almaty, Kazakhstan on February 10, 2013, with which he narrowly missed a podium.

At the German Championships 2010 in Oberhof Morweiser won the silver medal together with Johannes Rydzek in the team competition.

The last competition started as part of the Continental Cup on February 9, 2014 in Klingenthal .

Morweiser lives in Freiburg today .
