Clifford Hayes
Clifford Hayes (* around 1893 in Glasgow (Kentucky) , † around 1955 in Ohio ) was an American blues and jazz violinist and leader of the Louisville Stompers .
Hayes recorded with Sara Martin (1924) and appeared with banjo player Cal Smith in jug bands such as the Old Southern Jug Band , Clifford's Louisville Jug Band , the Dixieland Jug Blowers (1926/27) and Hayes' Louisville Stompers (1927-1929) . Johnny Dodds and Earl Hines (1929) also took part in his recording sessions for Okeh and Victor Records . Clifford Hayes' last recordings were made in 1931.
