The Cloud Bayou is a river in the US state of Texas . It rises in a loosely built-up residential area southwest of Alta Loma in Galveston County . From there it flows over eleven kilometers through largely agricultural area to the southwest and empties into nearby Halls Bayou Camp in Brazoria County in the Chocolate Bay leading Halls Bayou . On its course it crosses under the Briscoe Canal , the area is flat to undulating.

In certain areas of the southern United States, the part of the name Bayou stands for slowly flowing or even stagnant water.
