Georg Meiski

Georg Carl Meiski (born November 20, 1864 in Schotten , † October 29, 1929 in Ulrichstein ) was a Hessian politician ( HBB ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Georg Meiski was the son of the church calculator Conrad Meiski and his wife Margarethe, née Wolfschmidt. Meiski, who was a Protestant, married Anna Maria nee Jost. In 1884 he became the assistant computer and in 1889 the definitive computer of the savings and loan fund Ulrichstein and the computer of the local health insurance association.

From 1902 to 1906 Meiski was a councilor in Ulrichstein. In 1906 he became an associate and deputy registrar. He was the founder of the Ulrichsteiner Schulpfennigsparkasse.

From 1909 to 1918 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of Upper Hesse 10 / Herbstein .
