Clubuchziz

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The place Clubuchziz is a desert in today's district of Mecklenburg Lake District in central Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Traditional

Clubuchziz was first mentioned in 1178 and was probably located near Wagun near Dargun , north of the Kummerower See . The last mention in 1282 names this place as Clobezowe . The reasons for the abandonment of the village are not known.

The place was bequeathed to the Dargun Monastery as perpetual property in 1219 , at which time the property probably consisted of only a few farms. A ducal property confirmation issued in 1248 lists all land holdings of the Dargun monastery; Clubuchziz is not mentioned here, possibly an indication of an initial abandonment of the settlement and confirmation of its small size. Clubuchziz appears again in a list of the monastery's estates noted in 1282 ; this donated property was previously united with Wagun and managed by the monastery itself as a grangie .
