Cobán Imperial , called "Los Príncipes Azules" ("The Blue Princes") is a Guatemalan football club from Cobán , Alta Verapaz . The club is one of the most traditional Guatemalan clubs; nevertheless, the first championship was not secured until 2004, when the CSD Municipal was defeated in the decisive game of the Clausura .
After Imperial lost a play-off against Zacapa in 2006 , they had to relegate to the second division, but in 2006/07 the direct promotion was achieved.
