Cobscook Bay
The Cobscook Bay is the estuary of orange, Dennys and Pennamaquan River in Washington County in the northeast of the state of Maine .
It opens between Eastport and Lubec to the east of Passamaquoddy Bay ; The bay is divided into numerous arms, passageways and bays, Dennys Bay is a branch of Cobscook Bay located between Dennysville and Whiting . The towns of Eastport and Lubec, which form the entrance to the bay, are only 4 miles (6.5 km) apart, but the road distance is about 40 miles (65 km). The 35 km² Edmunds Division of the Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge with the Cobscook Bay State Park is located on Cobscook Bay .
The tidal range in the bay is about 7 meters.
