The Cochrane Lake is a lake in the southeast of the Australian state of New South Wales .

The lake is located on the Bemboka River , 12 km northwest of the small town of Bemboka , north of the Snowy Mountains Highway . It is located on the eastern slopes of the Great Dividing Range in the northern part of the South East Forest National Park .
