The Codex Nitriensis ( Gregory-Aland no. R or 027 ; von Soden ε 22) is a Greek manuscript of the New Testament , which is dated to the 6th century. It consists of the Gospel according to Luke with gaps on 48 sheets of parchment (29.5 × 23.5 cm). The handwriting is incomplete.
description
The manuscript is written in large uncials in two columns per page, 25 lines per page. It contains ammonian sections (without the Eusebian canon ), τίτλοι and signatures.
The manuscript is a palimpsest , the upper Syrian text contains a script by Severus Antiochenus against Johannes Grammaticus.
The codex is kept in the British Library (Add. 17211) in London .
