Codex diplomaticus Brandenburgensis
The Codex Diplomaticus Brandenburgensis (CDB) is a collection of documents, chronicles and other sources on the history of the Mark Brandenburg and its rulers in 41 volumes (1838–1869), edited by Adolph Friedrich Riedel .
It is an essential tool for local and local history research on the history of the Mark Brandenburg and includes the following departments:
- Main part 1: History of the spiritual foundations, the noble families, as well as the towns and castles of the Mark Brandenburg , 25 volumes;
 - Main part 2: Collection of documents on the history of the external relations of the Mark Brandenburg and its rulers , 6 volumes;
 - Main part 3: Collection for general state and electoral house matters , 3 volumes;
 - Main part 4: Collection of documents for local and special regional history , 1 volume;
 - 1 supplement (supplementary) tape
 - 3 volumes of name register
 - 2 volumes chronological register (up to 1741).
 
Since Philipp Wilhelm Gercken published a Codex diplomaticus Brandenburgensis in eight volumes from 1769 to 1785 and Georg Wilhelm von Raumer published a Codex diplomaticus Brandenburgensis continuatus in two volumes in 1831 and 1833, Riedel's collection is also known as the Novus Codex diplomaticus Brandenburgensis .
