Coding explanation

A coding explanation or coding reference is a text passage from the 14 LKF circulars published so far by the Austrian Ministry of Health ( BMGF ) , which is used to explain and clarify unclear or ambiguous medical facts and their correct coding in the LKF system. This is the coding required by the Documentation Act according to ICD-10 BMSG 2001 and the service catalog . The code explanations relevant for 2007 are published in the manual Medical Documentation LKF 2007 of the BMGF.
