Coeli et terrae creator
Coeli et terrae creator is a papal bull from Pope Sixtus V and dated January 5, 1586.
With this bull the Pope confirmed the "prohibition on the practice of divination astrology "; only the astrological weather forecast was allowed. He saw secret powers in the application of predictive astrology, which tried to establish itself as a divination science . These powers could, in the Pope's view, be used for some secret purpose. Works containing this - as Sixtus V writes - arrogant power were already banned earlier by the Trent Index .
