Geilenkirchen District Court

Geilenkirchen is the seat of the Geilenkirchen District Court , which is responsible for the cities of Geilenkirchen and Übach-Palenberg as well as for the municipality of Gangelt in the southern district of Heinsberg . Around 65,000 people live in the 158 km² judicial district . Neighboring district courts are Aachen , Heinsberg and Jülich .

The regional court overriding the district court Geilenkirchen is the regional court Aachen , which in turn is subordinate to the higher regional court Cologne .
