Monschau district court

Monschau is the seat of the Monschau district court , which is responsible for the city of Monschau and the municipality of Simmerath in the southern city ​​region of Aachen . Around 28,400 people live in the 206 km² judicial district. Neighboring district courts are Aachen , Düren , Eschweiler and Schleiden .

On November 10, 1899, the topping-out ceremony for the current building on Laufenstrasse took place. In 1969 the municipality of Roetgen left the Monschau district court.

Superior courts

The regional court superordinate to the Monschau District Court is the Aachen Regional Court , which in turn is subordinate to the Cologne Higher Regional Court .
